It’s easy to procrastinate getting help, but reaching out for support is the first step to feeling better. Most campuses offer confidential counseling services or can help connect you with resources in your community. Just talking about what’s going on can help you feel better, so take that first step by reaching out for help or opening up to a trusted friend or family member. There are ways to feel better, but you have to tell someone what you’re going through.

St. Lawrence University Counseling Services

The mission of Counseling Services is to help students grow as whole individuals. We work within a wellness model, a positive approach to life and health. This is an approach to counseling that looks to maximize an individual’s potential and to help the student be successful in all areas of life.

Please contact us as needed and make use of the services available. We are located in the Torrey Center at 76 Park St, 315-229-5391. Office hours are 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. After normal business hours, the on-call counselor can be accessed by calling SLU Security at 315-229-5555.

Confidentiality Statement

St. Lawrence University Health Service

The Health Service provides provides comprehensive and confidential health care to all students. Services include treatment of illness and injury, gynecologic care and monitoring of students with chronic illness. Health education is provided to individuals and groups. Workshops are offered on topics such as sexual health, travel health, smoking cessation and stress reduction. There is no fee charged for medical visits to the health center.
