Most of us tend to think that all stress is bad; however, some stress can be a good thing. Click here to learn about the benefits and side effects of stress, and how to tell if you’re experiencing too much.
After hours, during academic sessions (Fall and Spring Terms, Summer Sessions I and II), there is always a counselor on call from the Skidmore College Counseling Center. Please call Campus Safety at 518 580-5566 and ask to speak with the on-call counselor. On-call contacts are confidential.
You may also call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273 TALK (8255), a national 24 hour toll-free suicide prevention and intervention telephone resource. They provide immediate assistance to individuals in suicidal crisis and can connect individuals to the nearest available suicide prevention and mental health service provider.
