HU’s BHS Student Assistance Program offers free, confidential, in the moment support 24/7/365 by masters level clinicians, as well as to connect students with local mental health resources at 800-327-2251. BHS also offers a live chat option resources online at https://portal.bhsonline.com/ (Login: Harrisburgu).
Emergency help can also be received by calling or texting the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or text “START” to 741-741. The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national 24-hour toll-free suicide prevention and intervention telephone resource that provides immediate assistance to individuals in suicidal crisis by connecting them to the nearest available suicide prevention and mental health service provider.
